The first of three environmental land management schemes, the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) will pay farmers to produce public goods such as water quality, biodiversity, animal health and welfare, and climate change mitigation, alongside food production.
The Fund can pay up to 40% of the costs for specific farm equipment, and initial applications need to be in by 16th March 2022.
